Rallying call from protesters

CAMPAIGNERS against Government cuts are staging a conference to promote their campaign.

Speakers from trade unions and other anti-cuts groups will address the meeting of North Staffs Against Cuts (NSAC).

Members of NSAC, which is working with North Staffordshire Trades Union Council, is staging the conference at the Forum Theatre, within the Potteries Museum in Hanley, on Wednesday at 7pm.

It follows on from several demonstrations staged by NSAC in the area.

Jason Hill, president of the trades union council and organiser of the event, said: "We are hoping for a large involvement from local people in order to establish the North Staffordshire campaign against cuts."
