Man stabbed in stomach during argument at city bar

A MAN was stabbed in the stomach during an argument in a Nottingham bar last night.

The 21-year-old is recovering in hospital following the incident in Bar Rouge at the Britannia Hotel, St James Street, at around 6.55pm.

He is in a stable condition and his injuries are not considered life-threatening.

A 55-year-old woman also suffered a cut to the head in the incident, which involved a group of five or six men.

After the attack they walked up St James' Street towards Standard Hill.

Notts Police are appealing for help in identifying the men, one of whom was wearing a white t-shirt or collared shirt and dark trousers, had short dark hair and was of medium build.

The rest of the group all wore jumpers, jeans and jackets, and two of them were wearing top hat-style fun hats.

Another was wearing a baseball cap and had either a scarf or a 'snood' around his neck, and one other in the group was bald.
