Muggers snatch cash and bank cards in street attack

MUGGERS attacked a 20-year-old woman in the street and took jewellery, cash and bank cards.

The woman was assaulted and had two bags taken from her in Sneinton Hollows at around 10.40pm on Sunday, April 10.

She was left badly bruised and needed hospital treatment after the attack.

She lost a black cotton bag containing a distinctive gold bracelet with the word "friend" spelt out in white stones. A pair of gold-hooped earrings were also taken.

A second diamond-shaped black faux-leather bag, with the letters RW on the clasp was also taken and contained bank cards and cash.

Police have issued descriptions of a man and a woman suspected of committing the robbery.

The man is described as black, around 30 years old, 6ft tall and of medium build. He had a short "afro" hairstyle which was receding at the front, and was clean shaven. He wore a dark hooded top and had a local accent.

The woman is described as white, around 5ft 5ins tall and of stocky build. She had bleached blonde hair in a ponytail and was wearing black trousers and a leather jacket.
