A52 closed at Bramcote due to accident

THE A52 has been closed between Priory Island and Sherwin Island, Bramcote due to an accident.

Police were called to the incident at around 2.10pm today.

It involved two vehicles, one of which caught fire.

The car fire has since been extinguished, but the road remains closed while the debris is cleared.

It is not yet clear if anyone was injured in the accident.
