Carlton store cordoned off after bomb scare

PART of Oakdale Road in Carlton was cordoned off last night after a bomb scare at the Tesco store.

The store was evacuated after a suspect package was found but bomb disposal experts declared the area to be safe.

Notts Police were called out at about 9.45pm. The road was reopened at about 11.30pm.
A police spokesman said the package was found not to be suspicious.​
